The suburb sits near the centre of the western corridor rather than at its edge, providing better connectivity to established services, employment zones and transport routes than many competing estates further west and north-west.

Primary road connectivity runs through the Princes Freeway and West Gate Freeway to the south-east, with major arterial access via Leakes Road, Palmers Road and Dohertys Road. Approximately 53 percent of Truganina residents drive to work, reflecting a workforce that lives close to where it works.
Wyndham City Council's Connecting Wyndham program confirmed active investment in local road infrastructure in 2026, with multiple major upgrades completed or underway including the Tarneit Road and Leakes Road intersection upgrade, K Road reconstruction and the Ison Road project.
The Victorian Government announced in October 2022 that it would fund planning works for a future Truganina station as part of a western rail transport package worth more than $200 million. While at the planning stage, this represents a real long-term infrastructure commitment. Existing rail connections at nearby Tarneit Station and Williams Landing Station provide access to Melbourne's broader rail network today.
